Giving hope to Haiti’s Children

Children of Hope was established in October 19, 2008 in a small town in Haiti called Thomazeau.  The orphanage’s orgin started with my grandparents who had one son and allowed many children into their lives.  The children were taken into their home and cared for so when the opportunity came to continue their kindness in our small town we embraced it with all heart.  Today the orphanage can house around 54-55 children at a time ranging in age of newborn to 13 year old both boys and girls.

School

The children attend the Institution Mixte Pauline Toussaint which is located on the same grounds of the orphanage.  The school starts with kindergarten to middle school with an enrollment of approximately 200 students.  There is a playground, a computer lab, arts and craft room, a lunch room, and bathrooms.  Students wear uniforms and school supplies are provided along with a lunchtime meal.
